Glacier ice looks blue because dense ice absorbs a little of the red end of the spectrum, so thick pieces glow cyan from the inside. The low-poly style suits this subject well: flat faces and sharp ridges look a lot like broken ice.

Pale palettes are bright on screen. If you use your computer at night, darken the first two colors and keep the white for the light source only.
