Starry night wallpapers

A good night-sky wallpaper is mostly empty. The starfield style scatters a couple of thousand points, makes most of them faint and lets a few bright ones carry a small halo, which is roughly how a dark site looks once your eyes adjust.

The band across the frame is a loose nod to the Milky Way. Its angle and width change with every shuffle. Blue-black backgrounds hide the dimmest stars on cheap panels, so if your screen is an older IPS laptop, lift the second color a little so the gradient has somewhere to go.
